That happened in one of my wards when cell phones first became a thing. The gal giving the talk's mom called and she spoke with her on the phone during her talk. In my mind I want to say her talk may have been about prayer, but I'm not sure. I guess that would be a good object lesson. I think it was soon after when we were told not to bring object lessons to Sacrament meetings.🙄

Nah, I was texting to my mom on Mother’s Day as part of the talk. Thought it worked well.

My dream sacrament meeting talk is to be told to share something from a favorite talk by a General Authority.

”Go to hell! Go. To. Hell! That's where you're all going to go if you don't change your ways.” And then give a normal talk without referencing that again.

My husband just told me about this article. I like it, but if you click on the link to read it then you have to promise that you will never use it to show someone how they should feel. It goes well with what I said above.  Sister Eubank

The link here did not do that for me.  Did your husband give you a secondary link?...

It may be because I already read it and didn't read that first.

I just clicked and it went straight to it. If you go to lds.org it is on the front page as Mother' in Zion.

What a wonderful article.  I think it should be required reading for everyone prior to Mother's day and Father's day.
