CA Steve Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Scientists find a previously unknown mega-colony on islands. A previously unknown mega colony of penguins proves there were millions penguins no one knew about. Could anyone have known this? No. When penguin critics attacks are shown to be wrong the penguin critics simply forget them and move on to a new attack. I feel the penguin critics are wasting their time looking everywhere to attack on all possible angles. Some penguin critics arguments may seem to be valid now, but future discoveries always contradict assumptions. So my question is: Why are the penguin critics wasting time with anti-penguin research? To this day penguin scholars know very little about penguins, so the critics shouldn't be making conclusions about things we don't really know. The so-called "evidences" against penguins are just a complete failure. The so-called "plausible" penguin origins are just creative speculations. For me, the critics are just playing "hit" and "miss" games with the hope that something sticks. 3
cinepro Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 (edited) The real question is whether those are Lamanite or Nephite penguins. Edited March 2, 2018 by cinepro 3

Their coats are only partially white so they must be Lamanephite penguins. And given how much taller this one is, I have named him Zelph the 4'-0" white penguin. 1
Duncan Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Funnily enough when you are walking on ice you should walk like a penguin as you won't often slip as much! Plus there's this!!!! its from my favourite TV late night show, the Graham Norton Show, you can skip to the 3:30 mark 1

The so called enemies of penguin research never claimed that there were no penguins on Danger Island, only that the population growth was unrealistic if they arrived in the 6th century BC. Sorry, I just don't understand how this new finding proves anything. No matter how much we might like it to be true, puffins are not penguins! (source) 1

The Nehor Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Ever wondered what penguins taste like? https://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/a-different-kind-of-dinner-bell-in-the-antarctic-22002918/ My favorite line after they found out that playing music attracted penguins: One of his men pulled out a banjo and began playing “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary,” which, as Shackleton recounts in South, “The solemn looking little birds appeared to appreciate.” The bagpipe, however, was another story, and when a Scottish member of the expedition began to play the national instrument, the Adelies “fled in terror and plunged back into the sea.” 1

Juliann made similar comments, but no one is making fun of her. Why only me? Is it because of my username? http://www.mormondialogue.org/topic/70180-scientists-find-massive-society/ Quote This brings me back to the days when one of the proofs against the BOM was that there just weren't enough people for as many deaths as the BOM claimed. And one more anti-BOM defense bites the dust. I find it interesting that the cries for proof still ascend but not once have I ever seen these critics acknowledge how many of their talking points have been quietly dropped, never to be admitted to again. I still remember the ZLMB days when they were insisting that their were no great civilizations when the Nephites arrived, it all happened later. Then the timeline changed. I've said this for a long time, somebody should be keeping track of all of their oops! because their entire premise rests on their blind faith that the discovering has all been done. And they do not admit to what they used to insist was proof against the BOM Edited March 3, 2018 by SamuelTheLamanite 1
