Duncan Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I saw a blog post awhile ago now, which I cannot find.......... but apparently it was based on a true story. Some celebrity, single, was on some TV show (don't know who or what show) but anyways they noticed some audience member and though hey, why not. So afterwards they approached them and asked them out. The discussion was about whether or not that was appropriate. I think it would be fine provided the audience member was single then go for it. IIRC the opposite side said that celebrity lifestyle or something would overwhelm someone not familiar to it and it's too much to ask someone to jump into someone's life who big and famous, among other points What do you think?

Rain Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 The regular person does have a say in this matter. They can choose not to date the celebrity at any time. I don't see any reason why it would be inappropriate with the regular person having a choice. So it is more appropriate to be a regular person and then your spouse gets famous after you have made a commitment? 1

While working in inspections and law law enforcement, I met many celebrities who lived in Atlanta. I was never nervous or impressed by their fame, I esteemed them just like any other. Once I was in a large venue, and John Bon Jovie (hope I spell his name right) was song sound checks in very foul language to his crew. I was talking to a woman who worked for the venue, so I turned and yelled at his to shut up. His reply was, "who do you think you are"? I told him I was going to be the one to make him stop. Often the rich and famous think they can do as they like, while doing an inspection at Elton John's high rise penthouse, I was telling him that he could not do the construction work he was doing was not permitted or being done correctly. In an attempt to intimidate, I was asked, "you meant to tell me that Icant do what I want"! I replied, yes that is exactly what I am telling you. Had a similar and more heated exchange with Tyler Perry, more than once. So being famous does not make anyone better or even less...so why would someone unknown feel free to approch the well known.

Who's Tyler Perry?! I hear what you're saying, I don't think all famous people are like that and there are non famous people like that as well, think they know everything. If some famous woman saw me out of crowd and asked me out I don't think i'd say no, might be fun!

He has a number or TV shows running, and produced about 20 movies with Arfican-Americian themes. Stared some of them...can't think of the names, right now. My numerous run ins with him caused me to avoid seeing him on the silver screen. You can google him and see. 1

I know that celebrities are real people, but reading about them in the internet tabloids is surreal. I am sort of a news junkie and skim the headlines pretty much daily. The life presented in those news bites I doubt is the real face of the celebrities. I was just making one og my inane observations, which also are pretty unreal. Glenn 1

I enjoy talking with real life unreal people. My ten year old granddaughter, the one that is with us 24/7 is also unreal. I keep looking at her and listening to her and wondering how all of this has happned so quickly. If your aunt ever has the opportunity to travel through Eastern NC, tell her to look me up. 2
