Popular Post flameburns623 Posted February 3, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2017 I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach? I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think that they will sing to me. I have seen them riding seaward on the waves Combing the white hair of the waves blown back When the wind blows the water white and black. We have lingered in the chambers of the sea By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown Till human voices wake us, and we drown Today I am 57 years old. 10
Robert F. Smith Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Lovely ;birthday poem, Flame. I wish I was a young 57 once more . . . 2
Garden Girl Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Me too, Robert... for me... Flame, enjoy your day! I consider my prime to have been the years from about 40 - 55... then suddenly the years seemed to go faster somehow... how could that possibly be?! I look back fondly at age 57... so I say to you, Flame... do have a wonderful day. (Loved the poem) GG 1
Jeanne Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Happy Birthday...beautiful thoughts your way the whole year!! (You young pup)!! 1

I want to do something productive with mine instead of buying a sports car and slipping into depression worried I wasted my life. 1

You could sell everything or put it in storage and go serve the poor in a third world country, become a non medical Paul Farmer type.

I volunteer to help displaced CPS kids and that I can do well. I think I am going to set up to retire early. Will easily work if I never find anyone. 1
thesometimesaint Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Happy Birthday youngster. I turn 66 this year.

Give the neighbors reverse Mohawks while they sleep. Then , the next morning, watch what hats they opt to wear on their way out the door. Or you could go boring/cliche and TP their bushes and trees. Or take up bee keeping and mahjong.
