Hunter, Nelson, Oaks and Perry all were sealed to other women in the Temple. Elder Christofferson said that polygamy is a sin, so my question is what is the justification for these sealings of these brethren?

It is an eternal principle and will be lived in the next life. The sin is following the early teachings of the church. Yes. It's inconsistent. This comes down to the desire of the church to distance itself from polygamy. It's embarrassing. It has caused legal and financial hardship for the church. It doesn't fit the modern brand of mormonism so polygamy is bad...even though we all know it's really good. But we can't cast those pearls before the swine of the world...right? 5

The doctrine itself is not sinful in the eternal sense. In the next life it won't be illegal as it is here. There will also be no jealousy, pride, or selfishness in the Celestial Kingdom where there is an environment that is more conducive to living it as it was meant. But I don't think we know enough about it to understand how things will really be in the next life. 2

It was authorized at many times during the history of the earth and there is no reason to expect it won't be again, such as during the Millennium. We don't know for certain either way, but there is no sin in it if God authorized it. D&C 132:38 and Jacob 2:30, and absolutely nothing preventing him authorizing it again.

I am not so sure it will even be practiced in the Millennium. The polygamy Christofferson is speaking of is the current practice of polygamy in mortality. Keeping in mind that there is nothing to suggest that God could not restart polygamy next year or in 20 years. Polygamy is good when God says to practice it and an sin when God says no.
