Leaving Provo at noon on Sunday, the bus will move southwest to the small community of Rocky Ridge. Craig Foster will share his knowledge of the United Apostolic Brethren. I know several posters on this board attended the MHA conference. Did you go on this tour?If so, how was it? How did you find the community, specifically as compared to what we see on television of the FLDS communities etc?Scott, I noticed you referenced it in your DesNews article. It was on a Sunday so most were in church in a huge building, lots of cars parked there. The town was like a ghost town, each home had an unfinished area on it. My husband wanted to get out of there. I thought it was so interesting and wanted to keep driving around, I had read a lot of books about people that escaped so it was coming to life. But soon a big truck pulled up behind and followed us, we got out of there fast when that happened.I couldn't believe the Jessop dude made a Bed & Breakfast! I'll bet that's going to drive Warren even more nuts than he already is.

Their meetings are public. The AUB was led by Rulon Allred before he was murdered.

sunstoned Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I have visited Rocky Ridge and Colorado City several times collecting research data. The Rocky Ridge group is AUB, and very open and accommodating. Colorado City, not so much.
