Website With An Indisputable, Provable Lie?

For a college class, my wife needs to provide three websites:

 

1) A well-referenced, well-documented, solid website

 

2) A not-very-credible website

 

3) A website with an indisputable, provable, actual *lie*

 

Any suggestions for any of these three? We're not looking for religious or political ones, if we can help it.

Ooo those are great! I was trying to think of some for him but couldn't come up with anything but religious sites.

I would go with government stats sites given that most universities let their people put up whatever they want on their pages without oversight from what I've seen.

There was the story about the frightened bride who jumped from the window of the Salt Lake temple into the Great Salt Lake and swam away to safety. I will search diligently for the website... tomorrow maybe.

I would think something like science mag or national geographic might be a good website for credibility.

#2 Wikipedia (my kids are always telling me their teachers don't accept it as a resource)

#3  9/11 sites that say an airplane didn't really crash into the Pentagon and that kind of nonsense.

Snopes.com would be a great place to start looking for sites, especially the questionable and outright false sites.  If you're not familiar, it's a mythbuster site, and sources where urban internet legends came from, and whether there was truth in the rumors or not.  At any rate, it's always a fun read!
