General Priesthood Meeting Via Internet?

"What? Put it on the Internet and run the risk of some woman seeing it? "  It was done last October & Im sure "some woman" saw it... but then again, so what ???!!

I think by putting it live on TV or the internet, will make it so members will just stay home and view it in the comfort of their home.  My husband has traditionally gone to it with brothers, sons and his dad.  This year he talked like he would rather just view it at home.  I feel this would be a sad thing to let that tradition go.  His dad sure enjoys their company and the pie and ice cream time they have afterward.

Joking, amo, joking!

I wondered how long before somebody would totally misunderstand my attempt at ironic humor.

Precisely 13 minutes, as it turned out.

Last October they put it online, but still officially encouraged people to view it at their local building.  So I put on my suit and tie and went to the Stake Center with my son and some visiting relatives.  I guess the rest of the Stake didn't get the memo, because the crowd for the Priesthood session usually filled the cultural hall 3/4.  But we all fit in the chapel. :unknw:

This year try my approach: naked in a hot tub with the jets on while listening to it from a portable device on a table to the side. Best Priesthood meeting ever.

I'm flattered at the invitation, but I'm afraid I just can't make it...

I'll be watching it with my Father-in-law and brothers-in-law by internet at a house literally just down the street from the chapel. We're gathering as a family, and feel that fulfills the spirit of the thing.

BTW, my 4-year-old daughter caught the opening of the women's meeting (that my wife and I were streaming at home), and found the choir, the speakers involving the children, and the videos fascinating. We actually let her stay up later than planned because she was far more involved and interested than we expected.

Maybe if the OW crowd keeps it up, we'll have a General Nursery meeting next year.

I don't know. Attending to a priesthood duty without wearing the garments of the holy priesthood sounds like it could be a little bit sacrilegious. And I would rather see it on my big screen.

If you ever wonder why you're never invited to Priesthood Session hot tub parties, PM me and I'll let you know why.
