Sunday School And A Worldwide Flood (Pt.3)

Here we are 6000 years later and no one has been able to prove the existence of god! So much for religion...

Ohh, this game is fun.

At least science admits its limitations by openly stating they are not able to replicate the "origin of life" test.

All tjings denote there is a God. If you cant see it then I dont know what to tell you. I see the replication of life all the time- everytime a new life comes into the world, each after its own kind.

For others Rob, all things denote there is a God... INCLUDING evolution.

Sure an I agree with you... however last I check the "denotion" of something is not replicatable scientific evidence. You were criticizing science for not have a method that can be replicated for providing observable data of the evolutionary process creating life. (Something that science admits).

I was simply pointing out that we religious folks do not have a method that can be replicated for providing observable data relating to the existence of God. (Something you dont appear to admit).

Does that mean I do not, or should not, have a belief in God? No it doesn't. I am fine to have a belief in God. It is simply not a scientifically validated belief. Just as the belief that the evolutionary processes created life is not currently scientifically validated. It is a belief that many find reasonable based on a range or complementary and supporting evidence. One day it may become falsified by testing, but most believe this to be highly unlikely.

Yes, but that is not science.

What did he do to bring about life?

Organized matter.

And if you want to accuse me of being vague please explain how God created Adam from the dust in explicit detail. I want to know every step on the way there. Otherwise you are equally ignorant about what He did to create life.

God created Adam from the dust of the earth the same way I created my two kids from the dust of the earth.

So you don't believe what the scripture actually says? Interesting.

And on page 42 of this thread we now get to start this all over... thanks The Nehor!!!

Quiet, I have a private bet I can get this thread to 100 pages. If I win I get a bright red speedo, a box of Captain Crunch cereal, and 200 feet of coaxial cable. Do not ruin it for me.

I will post you all three if you can get this thread shut down in the next three pages!!! It is ruining my mind palace.

Edited: post as in mail to you! :-)

all of us are created from the dust of the earth- from dust we come to dust we go.

25 And now I ask, can ye say aught of yourselves? I answer you, Nay. Ye cannot say that ye are even as much as the dust of the earth; yet ye were created of the dust of the earth; but behold, it belongeth to him who created you. (Mosiah 2:25)

Yes, that would be the Republican Dominionist dogma you would spew. If only your political views were not so tied to your scientific ones you would be more open minded. Next you are going to tell me global warming is a myth.

What exactly is Republican Dominionist dogma? Are you not made of the dust of the earth?

The experiments and video graphics represent the flood model and the observations that support it. They are the same principled activities that scientists use to test and demonstrate any model. Even tests for whether life can be generated in the theoretical primordial soup are done in a lab under controlled environments.

How accurately they represent real life is always a valid criticism. Given what we can see and understand, the layers under us couldn't have been laid in still calm water conditions, which is what is implied by evolutionary model.

By the way, go snorkeling!  8)

The snorkeling here on Koh Tao is fantastic! Blue finned barracuda, blue spotted stingrays, rainbow wrasse. It's simply amazing the variety of colours and forms evolution has developed. We love it! Do you snorkel?

Yes as much as possible... we went to the Grand Cayman last year. I am always amazed by the variety of colors and sounds and shapes and sizes that God's created. Listening to what I think was a puffer fish eating something off the coral blew my mind.

The desire to destroy science and bring about a new politically conservative dark age through burning books that disagree with fundamentalist dogma leading to theocracy.

There is no scientifically valid definition of the word kind.

Chemically we're closer to a dirty water droplet with a bubble on top. :)

The best evidence so far presented is that he used abiogenesis.

Thats some kind of oxymoron. Basically what you are saying is that the best evidence of lifes origins by God is that he used a godless process of undirected chemical evolution. Is that what you are saying? Or, are you saying that God directs and guides evolution?

Thats ridiculous. I fully support almost every aspect of observable science. (note that I said "observable science)

The latter.

What? There is such a thing as "kind" as interpreted from the bible. Different kinds would be- birds, fish, dogs, whales, etc.

Please tell us what special definition of observable science you are using.
