Yes as much as possible... we went to the Grand Cayman last year. I am always amazed by the variety of colors and sounds and shapes and sizes that God's created. Listening to what I think was a puffer fish eating something off the coral blew my mind.

Now we have a tropical snorkeling thread!

What? There is such a thing as "kind" as interpreted from the bible. Different kinds would be- birds, fish, dogs, whales, etc.

There is no scientifically valid definition of kind. The Bible for all its other fine qualities is not nor has it ever been a science textbook. To conflate the two is a disservice too both.

So, if you believe Gods divine hand guided evolution then this makes you an intelligent design believer.

If used in a very loose sense of the word. IE; All Americans are people but not all people are Americans.

Thats ridiculous. I fully support almost every aspect of observable science. (note that I said "observable science)

You have consistently proven that you haven't got a good grasp of what science even is. You are regurgitating tripe from Evangelical creationist websites created for political purposes and (knowingly or unknowingly) to deceive.

I know what science is or "should be". But when we start imagining scenerios that do not prove possible then at some point we got to say it isnt science, or at least not sound science. The geologic column being built by uniformatarian methods is just one of the many that is not  supported through observation and testing- its not a good sound theory.

I think you know what "you think it should be" but many of your posts show that your conclusions about it are way off as to what it actually is.

could you reference one so we can actually discuss my faults rather than just be vague.

Sure, reread the thread where I pointed them out repeatedly. Feel free to offer a refutation.

Okay, you said science was atheistic. Scientists would disagree. Defend.

It was in the context of Darwinian evolution as I remember. The science of Darwinian evolutionary theory is atheistic. The moment you introduce God or what some would call a"godlike" force into the equation it isnt science anymore. Neither will you find any Darwinian evolutionists who believe that God guided the process.

Perhaps you know many who are theistic evolutionists- thats different than Darwinian evolutionists.

What is a Darwinian Evolutionist? Someone who believes in Darwin's work but NOT the advances in evolutionary biology since Darwin? What do you even mean by the title? Do you distinguish Darwinian Evolutionists from Evolutionary Biologists?

Darwinian evolution is the process of evolution brung about by random mutations, copy errors, etc, then selected upon by natural selection. It cannot be guided by God or any other intelligent source

While out fishing yesterday one fellow brought up a rainbow coloured parrotfish. Why it took his bait is unclear since they munch on corrals, but what a spectacular fish it was. Brilliant aqua blues, mixed with greens and even orange. We had a chance while snorkeling to see a whole school of them and yes, they are noisy eaters...they chew with their mouths open.lol

Now we have a tropical snorkeling thread!

If you snorkel, feel free to jump in. Whether you see the multticoloured world under water as God's creation or as a result of Darwin's evolution gone crazy with its paint tubes, doesn't matter. You marvel nevertheless. The world below water is so much more fun than the drab world of winter's greys and browns. It's as though a pre-school class has run amuck throwing colour in every direction.

Please give us your special definition of uniformitarianism.

1. That isn't what evolution says.

2. Who are you tell God what he can or can't do?

Now your just making me jealous!

He's Rob, of course!

Personally, I only tell God what to so as it relates to accelerating the resolution of flat screen tv's and increasing my bank balance.

Looks like Rob has squandered both his "tell god what to do" cards on evolution!

Oh well.

Sorry, it's a world for snorkellers only (or scuba, or if you have a lifetime membership to a local aquarium)
