All the scriptures and most of the curriculum materials of the Church, including Church magazines. Searchable with superb annotation, highlighting, and cross-referencing capability. There are two versions available: 3.0 and 2.5. 3.0 has more bells and whistles (audio and video of conference talks, scriptures etc.), however, it seems to be very slow and clunky when I run it on my iPod touch 4th generation. So I tend to use 2.5 most of the time. I'm guessing 3.0 would run better on ios 7 devices. I tend to stick with apps that are produced by the Church itself. The ones made by private vendors tend to be overpriced and less than satisfactory. The official Church apps I have, in addition to "Gospel Library" are the following: "LDS Tools." I love this one also. My entire ward directory as well as directories for the other wards in my stake, lists of callings, a stake calendar, contact information from membership records, etc. (You need an LDS account with login and password to use this. To get one, you'll need your membership record number. Your ward clerk can give you that.) "Mormon Channel" The official web-based radio station of the Church, with tons of content, including videos. "LDS Music" With rare exceptions because of copyright restrictions, this has the entire content of the hymnbook, the "Children's Songbook," and "Additional Children's Songs." Includes musical notation for the songs and downloadable audio in music-only and words-and-music versions. "LDS Youth" A youth-oriented app. The name pretty much describes it. "Scripture Mastery Cards" The basic scriptures for seminary classes. "Bible Videos" The recently produced videos by the Church of Bible stories. "Child Stories" Electronic version of the colorfully illustrated stories from the scriptures that have been published by the Church for many years. In addition to having the art panels and associated text for personal reading, it includes as "movie" function in which a reader gives the text and there are panels and zooming on the visuals. In addition to these, there is another I really like, not an official Church app, but good nevertheless. It is called "Citation Index," and it includes every occurrence of specific scripture citations in general conference talks going back many years. It also includes a complete set of the Journal of Discourses. I have the Deseret Book app, although I don't use it much because the content seems a bit pricey for eBook editions. I just got a gift of a new Android device, Samsung Galaxy player 5.0, to replace my 12-year old Dell Pocket PC and while I love the amazing upgrades I haven't found anything like the old Personal Gospel Library software I had on my old one, with over 100 books including Church History and the Journals of Discourses and lots and lots of other books. I've found a few of those books, though, but I'm still looking for more. I've found everything you mentioned, though, with the addition of the Church News.

However, there is not currently a separate Church News app for smartphones and such. I'm told one is coming shortly, though. Stay tuned!

The Nehor Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 "Hot Mormon Missionaries Getting Naughty" Have not tried the app yet but I assume it is a straightforward account of LDS work in areas with a warmer climate and the disciplinary problems in those areas. Can't wait to try it.
