Some Of My Artwork

Recommended Posts

I thought I would post some of my LDS-related artwork here, just for fun (don't think I've done so before). Some of them are comics I did on my mission, some of it's from after my mission, some of it's from my days doing the editorial cartoon for BYU's student paper, and there are a couple portraits, too. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Of course I really appreciated your artwork... I'm going to try and figure out how to post some of mine, mainly landscapes/seascapes...

OK, Ummm ... these are great, and all, Dan ... But is it OK if I admit I'm kinda jealous of the guy in the last one?!       [Tears roll]

I’m afraid I have become what my Great Grandmother (God Bless Her Soul) used to call “An Old Batch.”

Warmest Regards,

From the Board’s Resident Confirmed Bachelor

Talent...poorly lacking am I. Good stuff.

Not so. Your talents simply run in other directions. :)

I assure you I am not being proud, but I have no talent to write and no education to do so well. My poems are a gift, so the glory is my God,s, .not mine. Most (if not all) come as revelations so I can excise my demons, which are legion.

Once I had trouble forgiving someone...this was the answer to my prayer.

Forgive

Forgive,

The scripture seemed to read,

As once again I’d look.

Forgive,

The scripture clearly said,

Annoyed I closed the book.

“Forgive“,

The Spirit softly spoke,

Startled I did fear.

Forgive,

The Spirit louder spoke,

I pretended not to hear.

“Forgive“,

The Saviour said to me,

I quickly questioned , Why?

“Forgive“,

The Saviour said again,

“For this I came to die.”

Then bitterly I cried out

How canst thou know my pain?

The wounds that I have suffered

My tears that fell like rain.

The quietly he spoke my name

And said, “I understand”.

Reached out that he may lift me

With wounds in both his hands.

Ashamed I said, How can I?

He reminded me again,

“For he who will not forgive,

In him lies the greater sin.”

Forgive,

The scripture seemed to read,

As once again I’d look.

Forgive,

The scripture clearly read,

I then embraced the book.

“Forgive“,

The Spirit softly spoke,

Now I did not fear.

“Forgive“,

The Spirit said again,

Once deaf, I now can hear.

“Forgive“,

The Saviour said to me,

“To you this gift I give.”

“Forgive,”

The Savior said again,

“Do this and ye shall live.”

I have a dear friend here, who was talking about not having children...prayed for her wondering what I could do to make her feel better. In 20 mins wrote a poem for her telling her I would be her adopted son, but it is hers so I won't post it. But she knows she is loved by so many here that my poem was a poor attempt. Almost every poem I have written was in answer to a prayer...the best thing about it, is that God even talks to a mutt like me.
