volgadon Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 More than likely, but not for missing Seinfeld. I tried watching it a few times. Just didn't "get" it. I normally like parody but it seemed just to be a parody of itself.Perhaps you watched the episodes where it did parody itself.
ERayR Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 oh, brother! you need to repent majorly!Sienfeld was the devil's work.
thesometimesaint Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 He clearly is a flaming liberal Democrat. I mean, he is all for tax funded abortions and running up huge deficits. Oh wait.On a serious note I don't think God is a capitalist. I think he is all about the free markets, though. as that is the point of this life. To chose right from wrong. Free markets are a good thing. They allow people to chose right or wrong. More often than not it choosing one set of cheap crap over another set of cheap crap. 1

The Nehor Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I think you may not understand the purpose of the earth. It was designed to test and separate. It does that very well so it cannot be classified as a bad investment. You may have classified it as a bad investment and written it off but that is only by your assessment. I think that God looks at it much differently than you. In Genesis God pronounced it good. .He did say it was good. That was before we fell. Snce then he has only been well pleased with one human on earth. How does God profit by testing and separating us? The ROI is horribly bad. Of course if you bring love into it I understand exactly why God did it. I am pretty sure love has nothing to do with the economic viability of a project. I do not think God makes decisions based on economic terms. If he did we would be in a lot of trouble. Satan's plan was much more efficient.

I do not think God makes decisions based on economic terms. If he did we would be in a lot of trouble. Satan's plan was much more efficient.True, true. Personally, I think we're all unprofitable servants. Satan would whip us into shape in no time. That guy can manage like nobody's business.Nevertheless, many heroic efforts are made to draw parallels between the free-market economy of Capitalism and the plans of God. As brother Rick Koerber might say, "God is a Capitalist." Master Mahan is his worthy competition, without which the quality of religion would doubtless suffer considerably. What we need in the 21st century are consumers of religion as opposed to converts. This will require a completely new language for expressing religious ideas. Whereas once we constrained our sacred speech with rules and consequences, now let us consider religion a thing to be advertised. In this regard, religion becomes a thing in the same class as cigarettes and women's lingerie, but it allows us to play on Master Mahan's turf according to his rules. Master Mahan is the great Rule Giver.Marketing and PR, then, become indispensable to the modern church. Missionary work is about managing perceptions. Let all perceive our Church as we do. Religion is a thing for billboards and T-shirts. We do not mind now that God has little to say about those great purveyors of wickedness and suffering on a massive scale (of which the world has produced plenty), nor that He finds no time to warn us of the epic calamities about to descend upon us unless we repent. Indeed, we now thank God for these surprise trials, for they allow us to don our T-shirts and render our alms before men under the slogan of "helping hands" or some such thing that will sound nice in the news, where it will be aggressively promoted. What better way to recruit souls unto Christ? We'll beat that Mahan at his own game! Oh, we'll need "The Gospel," to be sure; but it must have an investment firm in the offing.Who knew that the Lord's way would necessarily look outwardly so very much like Satan's? No wonder we need the subtle whisperings of the Spirit to be able to tell them apart. Edited November 30, 2012 by pmccombs1

Calm Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I do not wear button-up shirts to my private beach. Just saying. Well, at least I won't when I have one.If I had to choose between seeing every man in beach wear or in a suit, the suit would win almost every time. Just saying not every guy can handle a speedo while there are few that don't look decent in a suit. 1

Just saying not every guy can handle a speedo while there are few that don't look decent in a suit.Based on observation guys in America who could wear a speedo wear a regular swimsuit. Those who should run screaming from speedos wear them. The latter need to be relentlessly humiliated until they stop.

The Nehor Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 What about one of these?:Well, if people wear robes in the eternities might as well make it a kilt/robe hybrid.
Nathair/|\ Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) What about one of these?:The little kilt is an abomination. This is the one true kilt.http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/kilts/great-kilt/But I still need to get rid of my gut to look good in it. Edited December 3, 2012 by Nathair
