There used to be both an avatar and a photo. It appears as though the avatar is MIA and the photo is filling that slot. That is a minor inconvenience with a 30-second fix. The rest of it is very nice. I like the what-you-see-is-what-you-get editing best of all.

It is different, but not necessarily better. My suggestion would be to drop the whole thing, and opt for vBulletin or something else.

I re-added my avatar to make it clearer. It was kind of stretchy.

Mktavish, I have no idea who that is. But it's how I wished I looked. :P You know the avatars in the Matrix as opposed to reality.

I find the new format a bit more tolerable if I zoom in once or twice. I think the default sizes are a bit too large. Every comment is also a minimum height which I think is a bit more than need.

edit: Where is my little artist bird avatar??!! Grrrrr....

I lost my avatar gold fish as well. When I posted this morning, my profile picture was showing....which I do not want on my posts so I deleted it from my profile. It looks like I need to find and upload my goldfish when I have time.

That is the only thing that bugs me. Otherwise the new site looks nice.

Unless you are using a screen resolution less than 800x600 the forum width should scale to size.

I am sight impaired and have needed to use the lower resolution in order to see better. As a work-around for this web site, I am able to increase the resolution on my computer and use the browser to zoom in on the text, But, the increased resolution creates visibility issues for me in other ways. Is there a way that the update can be tweaked to accommodate lower resolutions?

Try this and see if it works: While holding the [Ctrl] key down, rotate your mouse button back and forth to get a font size that is more comfortable.

You may have to re-add it. Mine didn't disappear but it was distorted.

My avatar is distorted, as many of you have seen with your own. I suppose I can reload it at some point.

But there are four things I wonder about.

First, it appears as if the Secondary headline is now gone. We now have "tags" to add to any topics we start.

Second, There doesn't seem to be a place for an avatar anymore. The only thing I could find was a slot for a photo, which has been filled, in my case, with my avatar. Are there two images or just one now?

Third, what's the big X all about. (It's located at the bottom right of each message, but appears to go aways until your cursor approaches it.)

Fourth, there used to be a "Print Entire Topic" feature. If it's still there, I'd like to use it—has anyone seen it, or do we know if it's gone for good?

Not a huge fan of the new set up. Maybe that will change and I'll learn to like it, but for right now...no.

This big X in the signature area? I believe that is just to give the option to hide all signatures or that persons.. If that's the X you are referencing..

As stated in papa's thread I had to make a decision and some avatars were orphaned. It had to make a decision on whether to keep avatars or photos and I kept avatars. You can reload them through user cp.
