Even though my rapidly aging bones are no longer as tolerant of the cold as they once were, I can still take winter more easily than our humid summers.And the people in the city are generally friendly, though some do prefer to keep to themselves. As a matter of fact, I'm a Secular (or Third Order) Franciscan, hence my screen name (St. Bonaventure, the Seraphic Doctor, was a Franciscan--in fact he's regarded as the second founder of the order. As to why it took me so long to sign on, time constraints (I have five kids, now 7 to 16) were primary. And I'm more a dialoguer that a debater, at least at this stage of my life. While I am interested in the truth-claims of the LDS church, I have no interest in going over what seems to be well-plowed and rather infertile ground.Pax et Bonum, bonaventuraI'm guessing Catholic...

Just for your information, trusting you won't hold it against me (heh), 3DOP stands for:3=Third OrderD=DominicanO=OrderP=Preachers(For those not aware, although I have no experience of it, there is said to be a good-natured, sibling rivalry if you will between the Dominicans and Franciscans. The founders were contemporaries as were Sts. Thomas and Bonaventure, the Angelic and Seraphic doctors respectively.)I am no longer associated with the Dominicans but still hold them in very high regard. It hasn't been very active around here regarding things that interest me lately. I more or less hang around to correct what I perceive as misconceptions about the Catholic faith as they arise. I am happy to see another Catholic here and look forward to your participation.3DOP

I'm not surprised by this info and suspected as much.
