Popular Post rodheadlee Posted August 11, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 11, 2025 (edited) My little baby bear got out last night and got chased down the boat yard by a male cat. I haven't seen her since. We have to return to Southern California Tuesday around noon. I hope you would pray that she reappears before then. She has only been gone about 18 hours but she hasn't been outside since she was 4 weeks old when I rescued her. That was back around Christmas. Thanks for your prayers my heart will be broken if I don't get her back. Edited August 11, 2025 by rodheadlee 6
Pyreaux Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 I feel ya, long ago I've lost little "Beefy" who got chased down the street by a male cat. We just had to console ourselves. With belief that young stout cat won't starve in our neighborhood. He's going to approach someone who is going to feed him. I pray she'll find her way back. 1
Popular Post rodheadlee Posted August 11, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted August 11, 2025 Well I am pleased to say all of your prayers came to fruition. We found baby bear hiding out in a old 67 El Camino. She has a broken tail and really big eyes but other than that she's fine. Thanks for your prayers. 8
rpn Posted August 12, 2025 Posted August 12, 2025 I hope you are considering placing the bear in a facility that rehabs them for their native life. Taking her away isn't going to help her fulfill the measure of her creation. 1
Calm Posted August 12, 2025 Posted August 12, 2025 I believe “bear” is the nickname. Rod has only talked about having cats. 3
rodheadlee Posted August 16, 2025 Author Posted August 16, 2025 I spoke too soon. Bear is in the ER right now, I'm waiting for the call to pick her up. 3
Popular Post rodheadlee Posted August 21, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted August 21, 2025 She is all good. She has a shaved rear end and got some antibiotics and kitty pain meds. 7
