Can we talk about abbreviations

You mean by critical race theory?

I chuckled the other day when I viewed a YouTube commentator skewering critical race theory who kept abbreviating it as “CTR” instead of “CRT.”  I suppose it takes someone of my religion and culture to see the humor in such an error — like saying “LDS” when one means “LSD.”

Yes. Unfortunately, I know the abbreviation of "call for references". But I am glad that there are many that I do not know.

No, it is practicality. No one will want it and then it just sits there taking up space.

Yes, practicality is usually why charities will do it.  We don't take bulky, heavy pieces of furniture because we are often women most of us in our 40s and 50s carrying it up to a third floor apartment in 100+ degree heat.  People have complained when we won't take them.  Or tampons since nearly 100% of the refugee women wear pads.   Or used cribs because it is illegal for us to give give them to the refugees. 

But if a charity was asking for donations and they were upset that I gave less than they wanted I would call that a choosing beggar.

Or if someone asked a seller on facebook marketplace for free delivery after an agreement to get the item free I would call them that too.

I read the BofM,
I study the D&C,
I peruse the KJV,
back it up with JST.
My son's at BYU,

They used to call it LTM
when I was young like he.
I collected for SME,
while in the BSA.
My wife who's in RS,
teaches YM/YW in MIA.
Today in BYC,
We planned for EFY.
I stayed a little later,
and had a HT PPI.
I listened to some MoTab,
I found at the DI.
then I washed my Gs,
after FHE we had pie.
Now if you've understood,
this alphabetic mess.
Chances are quite good,
that you are LDS.
