Yep. Our stake has organized a HAM radio network for emergency purposes. I have a couple of short wave receivers, but with the Internet and satellite radio, they are now 🦕🦕.

And before that was pony express... ;)

 

In between was the continental telegraph.  The plains indians used to put their ears on the pole and hear dits and dats.  They did not know why but they were strongly moved upon in the spirit.   :wacko:

Unless the internet goes down (likely) and you have solar power.

Is satellite radio 2 way?
