I am on "limited" and cannot comment as much as I'd like. I'm only allowed so many posts and then I'm cut off. Today is the first time in a long time that I wish that was taken off and that I was allowed more comments, especially on this thread! I'm usually glad I don't have many posts because I talk too much. So I've got to limit myself but will follow this thread, take care Chum. I'm disappointed by this. I'm enjoying your feedback.

I expressed that tests aren't part of the learning process but my kids overruled me. Four said he learns from tests and they others said they really liked taking tests because they didn't have to study for them. You have some smart kids there. I learned that preparation for tests made me learn, and that the tests were the validation of that learning. I've almost always enjoyed tests - at least the ones I was prepared for! 1

Liking: The living-room in a studio motif - Old choir footage & the opportunity to revisit Mustachio & Guy w/ Eyes - New smaller closed captioning. My daughter has commented several times how much more she likes the home look. I was glad to see Elder Nelson wearing a mask when they showed him close up. 1

As if being healthy at 1 bazillon isn't enough. Does he have to be the best possible example of everything?

Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 I stepped out between sessions. Did they show anything interesting or was it the same 7 commercials on repeat?
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 re: Casual setting. It's be awesome if we caught them tossing a beachball back and forth.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Youth choirs have come a long way since the Castratos
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 I want Emeritus status. I don't care what for. When he asked for contrary sign, my cat started hairballing. Should I contact my stake president? 1
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Dang. Elder Gong was exposed to Covid & opted to quarantine himself. Good examples are the best examples. 1
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 I just noticed that in the children's choir they didn't segment boys and girls.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Quote Bishops, link your keys to those of your priesthood quorums. I really like this. I've always felt that having sharply segmented adult & youth groups is a lost opportunity generator.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Even the color scheme of the new setting is really well done. Making browns & purples balance is hard to do.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Notable that our young women's magazine is being repurposed for adults.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Food storage is complex if we don't want to waste it. Only some food stores. It needs to be food we'd want to eat. Without any calamity, we have to eat it before it expires. We need money to buy it and places to store it which gets tricky when you have 7 people in a 3 bedroom - and who are earning 80% of the bills. 1
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Suffering in righteousness, without relief or respite, gets kind of old after a decade or two.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Quote He felt by joining the Church he'd be a traitor to his own past and traditions To be fair, it's common for us to impress those feelings on our loved ones who are unhappy and want to move on from our traditions.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Yeah, for the last year I've pretty much sucked at caring for the temple of my body. 1
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Quote The perfection of the family is worth any sacrifice Including the sacrifice of our family members? Asking because that is something we do.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 I could use some examples about what members ought to leave behind from cultures
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 We should sustain Jeffrey R Holland every session.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 You know, I've heard that that airplane degree thing in a number of places. Seems like it's got some legs. It hasn't become as tired as "Footsteps", thank goodness.
Chum Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 Not being driven by short-term profits, God was prepared for the virus.
