Sometimes just exposing them to family history and helping them to construct their family tree helps the relatives connect with their ancestors and is a natural lead into missionary work. The church website has a lot of good resources on doing this, such as: The Power of Family History in Missionary Work. 2
rpn Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 You might ask if they are interested in your doing their ordinances by proxy for those relatives in case they ever decide they want to accept them. You'll need their written permission and a contact number so their permission can be verified. I'd wait for a while though because you have to wait a year anyway. If you interact with them regularly as they mourn, there may be an opportunity to talk about what happens after death.

Just make sure your non-member friends know you have beliefs about life after death and that you would like them to know what you know. Be a bit of a bug about it. Let them know your beliefs are your "thing"... your main interest in life... and that you like sharing with others. We have more knowledge about this than any other mortals on the planet, so when others have questions we are the best people to turn to.
