Fear and Shaming Not the Way?

Come to think of it, churches are not the only groups that (allegedly) use fear and shame.  There are plenty of things about which my thoughts and opinions commit the unpardonable sin of being so terribly, so tragically not de rigueur and un-PC, and about which, therefore, the PC crowd and the advocates of the cause du jour feel the need to shame me into submission and silence.  (It happens on this board, too, and often, purportedly-faithful-Latter-day-Saints are the culprits.)  Church is rapidly becoming one of the places where fear and shame is employed the least, it seems to me.

In fact, this has happened to me very recently on this board relative to how I identify the pandemic (China) virus.

And I agree with your observation about churches. The “woke” left, for example, is far more judgmental than any faith group I’m acquainted with.

What a shameful thing to say.

@The Nehor You would think so, Anonymous Internet Entity.  (Remind me again, why should I give a damn what you think? :unknw:<_<)

I don’t know. You are the one who read the post.

P.S. I also think you might have missed the intentional irony of my comment.

He was taking a stab at humor, reacting to your post about having been shamed by appearing to shame you anew. That was the intentional irony.
