Duncan Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I don't remember when the Church updated it's logo but i'm guessing mid 1990's, I was wondering if the updated Church's name is on your building? Our Stake centre was built in 1988 and it still has the old logo on it! I was wondering if this is common or we're one of the last!

Jane_Doe Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I haven't seen an building with the old logo in a long time. I'm guessing your building just hasn't been updated for whatever reason (like the sign hasn't broken, versus in my area a lot of signs get vandalized).

Whenever somebody mentions the Church's logo, I'm always reminded of an anecdote I came across years ago - possibly in the Friend - where a little girl was asked what church she attended. She responded, proudly, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Visitors Welcome." That one still makes me smile. 2
Judd Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 A few weeks back we had been passing through Portland and stopped by the temple. I was surprised that the old logo was actually on the temple itself.
