There’s something about the presence of the ice in ice cream that appeals to me. Without the ice it just isn’t quite as satisfying. I have a hard time with the concept of drying and freezing something that is wet and already frozen.

So I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure having Temples and worthily attending them = the higher law.

The lesser law was what Moses and the Children of Israel had; the Tabernacle they had didn't have the ordinances we have in our current Temples due to their disobedience.

The Savior's Sermon on the Mount was, in effect, a Temple Prep sermon.

Objectively, there are likely fewer men than women who regularly attend church on Sunday. COmbinign HP and EQ seems natural, logical, helpful from that perspective. Honestly, how long and how often has the RS been showing HP and EQ up? Probably quite often.

What I'm curious about is: what is above the higher law?  When the Savior returns will we all live the Highest Law? What might that look like,/require that we aren't currently asked to do?

This is the first time I've seen this expression used to denote something positive. I had always thought it was used to convey the idea of something being so unpleasant or traumatic that it deducts time from one's life, as in the Everly Brothers singing,

I die each time I hear this sound:

The vernacular in the Church changes over time.  Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were both frequently referred to as "Brother Joseph" and "Brother Brigham," respectively.  But nobody today calls Pres. Nelson "Brother Russell."

I wonder if we'll see a change in nomenclature, from "Priesthood Session" to "Men's Session."  Do you think such a change be seen as important or necessary?

I think Elder Oaks sees it as an important distinction, but as yet hasn’t seen fit to change the description of the Priesthood session.

Personally, I think the days of separating a couple of the sessions by gender is old fashioned and unnecessary. In fact, the various sessions have little distinction in content that General Conference might be better served by reducing it to a couple of sessions of Apostle and Auxiliary Presidency speakers with clearly choreographed content on what is seen as important.

Four hours worth of Conference talks should be more than enough every six months, IMHO.
