LittleNipper Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) I know that "Gray" said that Christians discriminate against "gays' and not the other way around,. Oddly "California Boy" and "Grey" may wonder why I have not responded to their opinions as of late. It's a shame that while they seem free to say whatever they like, people who are of a different opinion are not allowed to speak freely. It would seem that some are protected while the freedom of others is questionable. It only proves that what is often stated is not as black and white as what some would want to promote. If you disagree simply read LittleNipper's last post and compare it to everything posted since. I'm certainly not ashamed of it. I had to get that off my chest. CA Steve Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I find the title of this thread offensive. Just had to get that off my chest. 1
california boy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) I don't control who posts on this board, nor do I control what they say. No one does. BUT, when you make a statement that you don'e expressly say is your opinion, the rules of this board is that if someone calls for a CFR (call for reference) you are required by board rules to cite the verification of those facts OR withdraw the statement. This is how the board is set up. If you don't like the rules, then you have the option of not participating. If you don't respond to a CFR., the moderators have the option of banning you from the thread. I follow the same rules as everyone else. I try to be very careful what I say and be willing to back up verification when asked. So, here is a new CFR. Show us all where Christians are treated differently than gays or withdraw your accusation. Now are you going to answer the CFR's or claim victimhood. Because if you fail to answer this CFR, there is a strong possibility that this thread will be closed by the moderators Edited September 17, 2017 by california boy 1

Clearly this Christian has been discriminated against and you're allowed to shake your rattle. So, there you have it, which is worse --- preventing an individual to openly disagree with your values and opinions, or that fact that you cannot get a wedding cake from anyone you choose? It seems to me that freedom of speech far outweighs your loss of a sugar fix. And this is what makes the entire GAY rights issue so sinisterly trite. Where gays are beat up, it's never in church, but more than likely outside of some bar where one has been trying to pickup the wrong Goodtime Charley. Edited September 17, 2017 by LittleNipper
Gray Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Conservative Christians have been persecuting gay people for decades in this country. Getting sued for persecuting gay people or getting thread banned for being too extreme is not an example of anti-Christian persecution. 3

Not delivering a wedding cake to an event some wish to label "Marriage" is not discrimination. Tell me exactly what would two "married" gay men do in order to have a baby? Is GOD discriminating against such a couple because they need to in EVERY case either adopt or find an egg donor? Is GOD being too extreme or is homosexuality unproductive because it is WRONG? And what is next? Should people be arrested for having sex with animals? Is that not discrimination? Is ALL discrimination evil? Doesn't evolution tell us that all species are related? The fact that 50 years ago we would not even be considering Homosexuality as equal with proper biological sex, let alone making excuses and bring lawsuits against individuals that have done nothing harmful. Why not sue Chick fil A because there are people who want one of their sandwiches on SUNDAY! I mean they are discriminating against all the poor heathen/pagans. Christians of course don't need to eat out on SUNDAYS --- oh wait, are not many CHRISTIANS forced to work on the Sabbath or lose their jobs? Oh, I'm sure the gays would suggest that the Christian could go work somewhere else ---- but that shoe doesn't fit when they are told to go buy a wedding cake somewhere else !!!!!!! HYPOCRISY!!!! Where gays are beat up, it's never in church, but more than likely outside of some bar where one has been trying to pickup the wrong Goodtime Charley. A major problem with some prominent "Christians" has been their hypocrisy -- demonstrated through the antics of televangelists Jim Bakker (rape) and Jimmy Swaggart (prostitution), along with the accusations of homosexuality against Paul Crouch, Sr. (the head of the Trinity Broadcasting Network/TBN), and against Mega-church Pastor Ted Haggard (President of the National Association of Evangelicals). strappinglad Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Please note that there are several countries in this world that treat Christians about the same as they do gay people, ie. they beat them , and kill them. If the Evangelical Christians in the USA were given full power to establish laws pertaining to homosexuals, I wonder what those laws might look like. If homosexuals were given full power to establish laws pertaining to Evangelical Christians , how might those laws look?

In many instances ---- even in Nazi Germany, where homosexuals pleasured their tormentors they may have been allowed to live. How would a Christian entice an Isis soldier --- by reading him the Bible? I don't even imagine that would work --- at least not without the moving of the Holy Spirit on that Christian's behalf.

You know, I was banned recently for getting too heated in a topic about white supremacy. Lots of people here have been moderated for many reasons. I didn't start a thread talking about how the mods have it out for me and for liberal Mormons. It helped me to reevaluate the way I was phrasing things. Maybe some reflection and introspection could help you. 2

Thank you for demonstrating so clearly the kind of hostility and prejudice that many conservative Christians exhibit toward gay people. This is Exhibit A. So, if you were a gay man who owned a bakery and were asked by the Westboro Baptist Church to bake a cake that and deliver it to an anti-gay function at their church protected by their freedom of religion, you would gladly do and deliver it ---- without a whimper? Say if you were a Jewish baker, would you bake a cake and deliver it to a Fascist rally (fascism is protected by law). How about if you were a black baker, would you make a cake for a group of racists? I think that gays are opening up a stinking can of worms. Abraham and Sarah were an elderly couple ---- they simply prayed for a baby. Now why don't the gay couples do that? Thank you for providing the clear opportunity to demonstrate exactly how selfish gays can be. They actually seem to believe only their feelings and beliefs count! And they are yet to prove that they are not harming society by demanding blanke protection ...

No, everyone is barred from equating others' behaviour in the way you are choosing to do so below: "Should people be arrested for having sex with animals?" It may not be obvious because mods don't always announce when they kick someone out of a thread or give them a suspension from the board or may not show up immediately, but this type of extreme language is not allowed from anyone.
