I don't know what world the rest of you live in...but the church is obsessed with the sex lives of its members

Judging by the number of times the subject comes up, I live in a world that seems far more obsessed with the sex lives of its members than the LDS church.

I suspect that those that think the Church is obsessed with individual member's sex lives are in reality.....obsessed with sex.

It seems to me that since the book of Genesis God has been telling his children how best to live - including with whom and with whom not to have sex - and Jesus did pretty good job of identifying sexual sins and to sin no more.

And now I am supposed to believe the LDS Church is overly concerned with sex?  Exactly what turnip truck do people think I fell out of?  The Church is no more nor any less concerned about sexual sin than God has always been.  Sort of shocking when you hear common sense, huh?

Nehor,

If I told you what I thought about 85% of what you post here I would likely get banned.  But it is clear to me that you are a legend in your own mind.   B:)

Perhaps the best people to ask of whether the Church focused too much on sexual sin will occur in the future if one was to interview those who inherit the Telestial Kingdom.  I am confident that the results of such interviews would show a disproportionate number of people there having their eternal destiny being heavily determined by the issue.  One of the main purpose of the Church is to prepare people to meet God at judgement.  Having unforgiven sexual sins is not good to have on the resume when shows up at the interview.

And if I did not filter 85% of what I want to say here I would likely get banned. At least there is symmetry. I would be a legend in everyone's mind if I did. That 85% is usually my best stuff. :(
