Tacenda Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Feeling like if my posterity read all the things I've written they'd be pretty embarrassed to be related. I use to think my children should read it after I'm gone but realize some of my posts aren't the best. And think my posting on this board is somewhat like a journal. But have thrown journals of my youth away to escape the past, so no difference there I guess. So any Mods that can answer, it would be appreciated.

But doubt she'd ever read it or my husband. I think I'm really the only person I know that enjoys reading others' life histories.

I may not always agree, but that's ok I hope you stick around! I would think that your family knows you and loves you. I say dumb stuff all the time too and sometimes wish there wasn't a record but oh well! I'm glad you're here tacenda and I hope you stick around. 3

But I also think it's pretty awesome to find out that people are "real people" with trouble and issues and sadness and happiness. Wouldn't it be sad if our ancestors only wrote about the sunshiney days? Ugh. We'd be always only be comparing our worst against their best. Of course, I've not read everything you've ever written but over the years I'd say you are pretty tame! 1

Jeanne Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Tacenda, some of the things you write, (if you are anything like me) are spontaneous, impulsive but also from the heart. Had you written a regular journal, what would you omit that would contradict who you are. I, for one, really admire you and your posterity should be proud. Some of your thoughts are who you are and would resonate with more than a lot of family members..don't leave!! 1

It won't help, if anyone what's to find what you have written all they need to do is type in your screen name. Everything, everyone writes is on the Internet forever. Unless of course one day the world is without power and computers. Sorry
