Telestial Kingdom -- Infinite Boredom?

And IF it were false, then it would be possible for God to learn something that completely invalidates the Plan of Salvation -- oops, and where would that leave us.  How can we trust or have faith in God if He is constantly learning and we don't know the result of His education.  Instead of being eternally in joy and peace, we would be hanging on a thread of fear and doubt on what may happen to us.

Now, for me, THAT is illogical and preposterous.

The Plan of Salvation is true, or was going to be true before any of us were saved,  because God made it and was going to make it come true.  He put everything in place to make it happen, and he still works on it to make it work out for everybody who isn't saved yet.

The Plan of Salvation is a plan, you do realize,  don't you?  All that was needed was a plan to make it work out according to what he wanted to happen.  A plan with steps and procedures to accomplish the purpose. And right now it's already a done deal because it has already worked and is still working.  People are being saved, or not saved, left and right, and all anyone needs to do to be saved is to simply stick to the plan of salvation.

The only way it can't work is for people to choose to not follow it, but it works every time for anybody who will simply follow the plan.

This is the whole point of this Star Trek scene, but some people cannot understand how accurate this silly bit of Sci-Fi is to theological principles.

The very idea that God knows everything that can ever be known and can never learn anything new is simply preposterous and illogical.
And IF it were true, it would make God one of the most miserable, pitiable beings.  It would make immortality a curse.

Reason would demand that they do.  Even if missing the mortal weakness for boredom, they would still be little more than automatons going through the same repetitive motions of creation, never expanding, never growing, never progressing.
Simply gaining more kingdoms and posterity seems a rather selfish reason for creating worlds forever without any change.
To stop progressing is to be dead, and God is most certainly NOT dead.

If more knowledge makes you an automaton then we should all strive to be idiots to be truly free.

More knowledge doesn't.
Unendingly repeating the same task again and again and learning nothing from it for eternity does.

Maybe dead in some sense, but when we refer to not progressing we use the word damnation,  not dead.

I do not plan on repeating the same thing endlessly for all eternity when I become omniscient so I will dodge that bullet.

So you think it is possible to perform new activities that you have never done before and learn nothing from them?  To learn nothing new from a new experience?

Yes and no.

Nehor enters stage right with a flourish of trumpets.  My brain is still trying to recover from experiencing "omniscient" and "dodging bullets" in the same sentence.  He then follows up with -->>

"Yes and no"

I am simply speechless.

Please note, for those not familiar with my style and to avoid a misunderstanding.

My post was not to be critical of Nehor, but I saw an opportunity to inject abit of my very dry humor into the conversation.  It takes time but it will grow on you.

It does happen, to some people.

The phrase "ever learning and unable to come to the truth" comes to my mind.

Look at Satan and wonder why he never will learn more.

Okay.  But please never explain your sense of humor again.

If you have to tell someone that you are joking after you make a joke before they can know whether or not you are joking then it just wasn't a very good joke.

Sensing humor is kinda like sensing revelation from God.

You either get it, by sensing it, or you don't.

For a lot of people, if all they did for eternity was spend their time on a smart phone and social media, that would be all they ever would want for eternity.
