Baptized Catholic as a child then converting to Mormonism as a child in his teen he reimbraced the religion of his birth. One of the grounds for excommunication* is joining and embracing another religion...so like Dehlin, Callerwoods, Waterman and company, when will Marco Rubio be excommunicated? * Apostasy: refers to members who "repeatedly act in clear, open, and deliberate public opposition to the Church or its leaders" and also includes those who repeatedly present information as church doctrine that is not church doctrine and those who repeatedly follow the teachings of apostate sects or those who formally join another church. Edit to add: This must be something being done regionally or by stake. My husband, a bishop, has not heard anything about it. Neither couple have been active members for years

And I'd think that handling all of these matters locally is by far the best, except maybe someone on the national radar, for days and weeks on end.

Hey, Johnnie Cake, be careful. Rubio may be the next President of the USA, or, at least, the third Mormon candidate to run for the Presidency.
