NotaMormon Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I've been meeting with some missionaries recently and I have a few questions I would like to talk about.
NotaMormon Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Questions about the gospel and how to know truth. I found some interesting articles on fairmormon.org about them, but there's still some holes I don't understand.
Storm Rider Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Ask away. It may also be wise to ask the missionaries you are meeting with whatever questions you have. Each of us is human and we have strengths and weaknesses. We will do our best to answer you just as missionaries would do.
Ham Clam Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Welcome, NotaMormon. You'll find many Mormon history/theology euthusiasts on this board so feel free to ask questions on anything.
bluebell Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Welcome! You are welcome to ask your questions. If you don't want to hear a lot of debate and input from non-mormons or those antagonistic to the church then ask them here. If you don't care about that then once you hit 25 posts you can ask them on the dialogue forum.
NotaMormon Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 I have been asking the missionaries and we're still meeting every week. They've said multiple times that they've really enjoyed our meetings because they learn a lot from trying to answer my questions. Sometimes they have a good answer, but sometimes it's just a "We don't know" or "We'll look into that." So I was looking for someone with more experience with these types of questions.
Storm Rider Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 and those types questions are what exactly? This is not to say we will have the answers, but that we will do our best to share what we know.
Garden Girl Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Welcome... it would be helpful for you to ask a specific question and we can go from there and try to answer...I'm glad you're meeting with the missionaries...It would be nice to have a name to call you... and a little more about you, like where you're from... approx age... nothing too personal or uncomfortable... and oh yes, are you a dog person or a cat person... GG
LOSTONE Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Hi and welcome. I am not a Mormon either. Like you, I have many questions. Some of which have been insightfully answered and some that can not be answered. There is no religion that holds all the answers to all our questions, including Mormonism. This is where trust in our faith comes in and helps us.What I have done was to take out time to talk with fellow Mormons and open up to them on my thoughts. I also have taken time to explore their meeting houses and other aspects. This has been a true help to me and a blessing from those who have taken the time out for me. I am not saying I will become a Mormon, but I am finding more of what I am seeking from Mormons and the LDS than other places I have explored. Time and faith will show me the way to go on all of this for me.I hope you take time to explore and ask and enjoy all that is here. There are some truly amazing people and insights here. Again, welcome.

Ham Clam Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I think he might be posting them in 'General Discussions'. He posted a question about the "Great Apostasy".
