Sounds good to me. Though I don't see where there is any need for discussion of whether it is a good idea or not without getting into particulars about how to go about being good stewards of Gods' property.

I am pleased to see the church responding to the need to exercise wise stewardship over resources. Stewardship is one of the oldest commandments given to the human race (tend the garden) and we need to put it in it's proper place.

I am pleased to see the church responding to the need to exercise wise stewardship over resources. Stewardship is one of the oldest commandments given to the human race (tend the garden) and we need to put it in it's proper place.

The Church leaders have, since the inception of the Church, has taught good stewardship(environmentalism).

Maybe it's just me, but I'm seeing more and more examples of the sentiment expressed in the last paragraph: "Learn, ponder, and pray about what you can do to be a better steward." I've heard it with regards to helping the poor, but also with regards to how to approach missionary work, community service, etc.

 

I also like the "How can I..." and "What Can I Do?" subsections that offer suggestions on how the person with honest questions can be proactive with the information provided. I wonder if more Gospel Topics entries will contain similar subheadings (if they aren't in there already).

Nothing wrong with the wise use of resources.  The Nephites did the same:

While it is great to see the Church promoting wise stewardship, it really is a mixed bag of spotty accomplishment.
