The protester was a weasley (for lack of a better word) small guy who was yelling and used the garments to "wipe his butt." A Tongan or Samoan brother (couldn't tell the difference; sorry) grabbed the guy and convinced him to stop his antics. The bigger guy was arrested and the smaller guy had bragging rights from that day onward. Shorty story: They had about 70 people in attendance, they marched around Temple Square while the morning session was letting out, and 34 people resigned from the Church near the end of the march. frank_jessop Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I think it is sad that people feel the need to make a spectacle of their leaving the Church. It makes me wonder if the individual needed the spectacle to provide the assurance they made the right choice.
Tacenda Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 On the news last night they interviewed a couple of faithful LDS, and they were both saying after witnessing these protesters it made them have an even stronger belief in the church. So all the protesting will just show how bad the world has gotten and how secular it's become, so the demonstration will have the opposite effect, IMO.
