Traela Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Grumble, grumble. When it originally appeared in the New Era, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" had FOUR verses. The real third verse begins, "If the Savior stood beside me, would my thoughts be clean and pure? Would His presence give me hope and strength, and courage to endure?" It's the best verse. When the MoTab started singing, I hoped they would restore it.

I thought contingency hymns are added to the schedule for that event but they just ended early. Do I have the purpose wrong or was there some other reason?
misionargentinacordoba Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Hey hijolly, My name is elder Purser, I´m serving in the Argentina Cordoba Mission right now, I´m one of the mission secretaries in the office and my mission president and his wife loved the arrangment of "let us all press on" that ya´ll sang in General Conference. They´ve asked me to transcribe and translate it into spanish so that we can perform it as a choir when a general authourity comes here in may. I dont know what would be possible, but i would love to see the possiblities of getting a scan of the sheet music sent on down here. With that i would only need to translate it, which would be very easy, and from there we could start practicing. Let me know what sort of possiblities there are, I understand there may be some permission/legal issues, but i thought it would be worth a try.
