Someone's gotta say it--so it may as well be me.  LDS shoulda/woulda/coulda been on the forefront of equal rights for same sex attraction...

The motivation for this escapes me completely. I suspect that it comes from the use of the word queer as long as you limit the definition to narrowly. What is wonderful about this song is its innocence.  We have long ago departed from simpler times when honesty, neighborliness, admiration of fathers meant something and had value. Now is a time based solely on instant gratification in the pursuit of happiness; all the while ignoring that instant gratification far more often than not leads to unhappiness and pain. Society and community needs and values be damned; it is the demands of the individual that have become all important. We worship at the alter of self; me is all there is. And people wonder why I live overseas.
