Disagree.  There is no hint of pejorative usage or that this was anything other than the ideal. Assuming I understand you correctly, the man who went and received the kingdom is Jesus and his servants are the apostles, or anyone to whom the Lord has entrusted his work and this is a test of fitness for office for each of the servants, to see what they will do with what they have been given.

 

We'll just have to disagree on this. Given the context found in Luke, and the tenor of Jesus' teachings in general, I find I can't justify the standard interpretation.
