It's interesting that it evidently took you "active and disaffected" members that long to notice them. I found all of the answers, some from...surprise!...the Spirit, Yep, it happens...Most I found in reading the church's history - readily available and not so readily available - studying the doctrines, living those doctrines, studying and recognizing that men make mistakes and changes, but the Lord's doctrines are real and true. Most of the issues you list have been either admitted or shown to be false over the years. Where have you been? Read your history; yes, some of it is uncomfortable, find out about the doctrines you think you know. Study what Joseph Smith actually taught, pray about what the Lord would have you understand. Learn what you need to learn to help you along the road home. Do you have a strong testimony from the Lord or just a Sunday School one? Find out, then decide what you really want and go with it. In or out. But don't blame it on the church completely. Study so you know what the naysayers are talking about and go to the Lord for your answers. You are responsible for your relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus, church history not withstanding. No one else is. The Gospel isn't easy, it takes work on your part. The road home is fraught with stumbling blocks placed by the adversary - yeh, really. Find out from the Lord directly, it's your right. Then decide from there. As a member who looked at all sides of the church before I joined, and since, the LDS church really does have the best road home.r2d2garden 3

Unfortunately there wasn't one new item that would have given me some fun researching.A number of these were covered over decades in the Ensign. Yet, the Church is somehow trying to hide such information by publishing it openly? Too bad these members obviously did not read their Church magazines like the leaders of the Church have encouraged everyone to do time after time and year after year. There is no real excuse for not reading them, either, considering they also are archived online. Pathetic... 1

Given that a great many people don't read the Church magazines when they are encouraged to do so by the leaders of the Church so frequently, I fear you may be right!

I don't like it when the men don't listen to me.2. It's not fun when people crush my hand. What are they trying to prove?3. I can too clean the building alone!4. Riding my bike to church is my perogative! And no my skirt does not get greasy from being caught in the chain. 2
