Can Children Born After Excommunication Be Bic?

If a couple has two children, born in the covenant, and one of the parents is excommunicated, would two children born after the excommunication be born in the covenant?

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I can't find anything in Book 1 of CHI on this. It seems straightforward, but I wonder because the sealing blessings are still imparted to the righteous parent and the sealed children; their sealing isn't severed upon excommunication.

I need to know for a form, and I don't have the children's membership records (they live in multiple states).

I think I read somewhere that the kids are still BIC regardless of the parents actions

This is as I understand it...the kids would still be born under the covenant of the non-ex-ed parent, while the ex-ed parent loses all his or her blessings from the temple.

As long as there is a covenant in place when the children are born, they will be born under it.

The citation Nofear gave was precise. Children born after a parent's excommunication are not born in the covenant. Apparently (and why I wonder about this), once the excommunicated parent is rebaptized and has the ordinance of restoration of blessings, those children will need to be sealed to both parents in the temple. In the case I have in mind, these are active, adult children living in multiple states.
