Dumbest of the Dumb Anti-Mormon Arguments

On the thread about CARM's resurgence of the controversy about "adieu" in the Book of Mormon, some have commented on that being the dumbest of the dumb anti-Mormon arguments. Some have opined that criticism about the Book of Mormon mention of Christ being born "at Jerusalem" (the land, not the city) comes close to matching "adieu" in dumbness.

Greg Smith has suggested that the notion of Joseph Smith letting the cat out of the bag because he was listed (for legal reasons) as the author of the Book of Mormon in the first edition takes the supreme prize for anti-Mormon dumbness.

I would be interested in other suggestions. Perhaps between us we could compile a Top 10 Dumbness List for criticisms by anti-Mormons.

I guess we have a good start. I agree that adieu and the land of Jerusalem are really lame, one of my other favorites is that it was impossible for Moroni to use the term Christian as in the bible it says that "And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch".

See see, the bible says that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch therefore it is impossible for Moroni to use the term.

My vote still goes for "adieu".

Me too, this one holds absolutly no water.

In reality, this one is almost EXACTLY like "adieu", but it isn't as sexy I guess.

I have to agree, that so far "adieu" is the dumbest.

My favorites (that document the frightening evils of Mormonism):

#1 - Temples are meant to prepare for the eventual Kolobian invasion.

#2 - There

we should put it to a vote.

That Mormons "dishonor the dead" because they perform non-binding salvific rites for the deceased in temples. (See my sig line.)

Whoa what a non issue. Why worry about it then??

This one fails right out of the gate.

You forgot that there is an extensive network of tunnels under Salt Lake, dug by the Reptillian ETs in coordination with the Q15 (some GAs actually are Reptillians).

No, I didn't forget it, but I would suggest that you forget it.

If you know what's good for you...
