You made in seem like Elder Scott was implying that every abuse victim shared some responsibility for what happened- which is clearly not what he was saying.

I think you are conflating socialism with modern left liberalism. Socialism is more about economic policy than moral worldview. (But, I could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️) I would hope you wouldn't summarily dismiss anything Jacob has to say because he has one view you may diverge from. Look at his stuff, I am sure you will find much more that you disagree with him about- but will find him more than "halfway educated".

His description of Jacob Hansen seems to come from a place of personal disdain rather than reality. People tend to not like him because he is very firm in his beliefs and calmly and rationally uses logic instead of passion and feelings in his debates. (Just my opinion, of course.)

I believe that to think that no one gets a valid chance in mortality is equally erroneous to the idea that all chances come in mortality.

And I am sure @longview would agree that only God can determine who had a valid opportunity in this life, and that His view may be way more merciful than we currently understand. Why would you assume that he thinks any different as a Latter-day Saint?

That is the issue, people always trying to figure out how God is going to give everyone a valid chance, instead of having faith the He will. If I remember correctly @longview, as I am, is a Latter-day Saint, so why are you restricting it to mortality? I honestly am not trying to be rude, but I really don't get you sometimes. 🙃
