Education Specialist as a new calling?

Y'all seen callings like this in your stake? 

I have relatives in UT one of whom recently accpeted a calling as Education Specialist - apparently to help members of the ward obtain more education and improve thier lives.

I'm pretty sure I recall this being a thing in Arizona too (and it appears to exist in other wards outside of Utah), but the Utah specific church site lists it as a calling (and until today I didn't even realize there was a Utah specific site):  https://utah.churchofjesuschrist.org/my-calling-as-an-education-mentor

This is shown as a stake calling, not a ward calling, however.

It's not a current calling that I'm aware of (can't find it listed in any reports). Was it a stand alone calling, or are they actually Self Reliance specialists tasked with Education?

Maybe they are working with Pathways?  

And therre have always been a section in provident living that included education.

I'm in Utah and our stake has one.
