Any Temple Workers here?

As our oldest granddaughter, “Macy Bush”, having received her mission call to serve in PERU. My wife, and I, are doing  all that is needed to renew our Temple Recommends; again. Thankfully, after I got my Bishop’s interview, he mentioned that our Stake President was in the building, but was very busy, with other things, and other interviews. Anyway, I asked the member of the Bishopric, to just go find him, and tell him what member needs to have a Stake Presidency second interview

Within about 10 minutes, our Stake President appeared, he then asked. “Bill, why are you here”? “I your wife, I would come to your home”. I told him I was trying to build myself up, so that I could attend the Temple.

He suggested to me that he believes, that the “Temple has a program where persons with disabilities, where (my wife and myself) can do a sealing, than then enter the Celestial Room, in time to greet my granddaughter”.

So, my question here is there any Temple Workers, who can answer this question?

God bless you all, and I hope someone knows if my wife and myself can do something like this?

Might be best to call your local temple as each temple might vary on what is offered.

There is no program.  It is just a change.  You don't need to even do sealings or be disabled to go into the Celestial room.  You can just be dressed and ready to go in, but will need to talk to a temple worker when you get there.  This was something that was changed 4-5+ years ago.

Given the situation I would call that specific temple ahead of time though as not all temple workers know this.

And you would still need a reccomend.

Thank you for your advice. I have the feeling, that without aide of very talented doctors, and by the Grace of God, this will be my final trip to the Temple. I would prefer to do the endowment of my parents. My wife says speaking this way will change my own fate. However, with Atlanta traffic, it will already be 7-8 hours, via traffic, and Temple work.

Oh, and another question, my grandchildren have already done the baptisms, for my parents. Therefore I ask how I can do the endowments of my Mama, and my Daddy. . “How to I find out if their work has been done? To allow us, to do what we can in middle June, to allow us to know what more needs to be done?

So, “whom do I call, and how can I know what do my wife and I, can do while at the Temple”?

I'm a little unclear of what you are wanting.  Do you want to do your dad's endowments (and your wife for your mom) in the same session that your daughter goes through live?

Or maybe you are hoping to skip the endowment session and just go to the Celestial room and somehow that counts for the endowment session being done?

I would talk to your child (the parent of the grandchildren who did the baptisms) or your grandchildren and have them help you with this. It will depend on what they did with the records.

Or maybe you want someone to do the endowment before your granddaughter goes through, then while your granddaughter is getting her endowment you do the sealings for your parents and then meet everyone in the Celestial room after you are both done?

Sounds like a better plan, because (if I am correct) we would have to go straight to the sealing; right? My goal is to be in the Celestial Room, with my granddaughter. I just fear, my illness will never allow me to ever make it back again.

She could do her endowment and your family can do your parents at the same time.  Then meet them in the Celestial room.  Then you could go to the sealing room and be sealed if you want.  There are various ways you could do it so talk with them and see as a group how you would like to do it.

Sounds like a really great day if they are able to do this all together. I did this with my dad, mom and sister for my dad's family member. The sealing part anyway.
