Church Response: Devastating Earthquake in Turkiye

Apologies if this already exists as a string -- I did not see it, and thought we should not forget the terrible suffering going on right now in Turkiye and Syria.  Per news reports today, the death toll is now an almost unimaginable 47,000.  The Church has also contributed to the relief effort.

It’s truly unimaginable. I have seen some pictures that will haunt me always. I am so thankful I belong to an organization that has boots on the ground and is willing to work with others in the area to relieve suffering. There’s nothing I can do personally, so I’m thankful that I can lean on the efforts of the church and be a part of that.

I am too thankful, I am a grouch sometimes about the amassed wealth the church has and need to remember what they do to help these countries in devastation.
