Yeah, when people say they don’t understand why anyone would ever commit suicide I don’t know whether to be envious or incredulous. I lean towards incredulous. I mean, I know some of these people and their life isn’t that great. They often complain about it more than I complain about mine and I wonder if they are stronger or if the complaining is some kind of weird act or what.

I send this to friends who say they are depressed. It often helps: (warning: profanity)

Here are the primary reasons why you can't "see" my argument: the fact that you do not seem to believe in sin as an act of rebellion against God. The fact that you do not seem to believe that you can die IN sin thus be cut off from salvation. The fact that God is the giver of life, He alone ordains our days, our bodies are the temple of the Spirit, created in His image and purchased by the blood of Christ, not our own. The fact that you do not believe that when we procrastinate repentance and die IN sin it is everlastingly too late. You can find the relevant scriptures, I am sure. Ultimately, the destination of a soul is God's domain as he knows all things in the heart of men. The outward performances mean nothing.

My issue and the argument in the OP was that people speak from the pulpit these days and declare, as a statement of fact, something that is not true from the scriptural standpoint.

Given that sin is an act of rebellion against God; dying in sin cuts one off from salvation; God is the giver of life and He alone ordains our days; our bodies are the temple of the Spirit, created in His image and purchased by the blood of Christ; that to procrastinate repentance and die in sin it is everlastingly too late; the destination of a soul is God's domain as He knows all things in the heart of men; and, outward performances mean nothing, you still haven't justified your claim that speakers at the funeral lied, since you can't answer the question, "What is the doctrinal basis that a suicide cannot possibly find the blessings of the sealing power in the hereafter?" The forgoing principles, while generally correct, represent an incomplete list of all the principles of salvation that are involved.
