If I understand correctly, they got their 30,000 years ago date from plant DNA packed in the same layers with the tools.

I think the site sounds pretty securely dated. At least one of the tools was below the Last Glacial Maximum layer (up to 26 kya). The biggest question seems to be: Are these artifacts or ecofacts?
