Glad they quit saying the stuff they did, caused problems IMO. Mental problems.

I said direct confrontations and nothing about proximity. I have no idea how close they have to be to tempt someone. By direct confrontations I mean situations where an exorcism is appropriate. I have been in such situations twice in my life and based on previous conversations on this board I suspect that is uncommonly high. I had a third where a woman requested an exorcism but on arrival myself and the other two Priesthood holders that came were unanimous in the woman being delusional about being haunted. When we gave her a blessing she grew agitated during the blessing and insisted the voice cast out the demons. So you are agitating for the idea that the current apostles have failed in their charge to teach the members of the Church vital truths? My Mission President gave VERY general instructions due to a rash of these experiences (probably tied to the upcoming temple as they seem to get agitated by that kind of thing) and asked us to contact him before asking if possible. If not possible follow the direction of the Holy Ghost. I would suggest that if you (speaking generally) are not in a position to hear the Holy Ghost you are probably the reason the situation is occurring so stop what you are doing. More often it was an outlet for problems that were already there or that just manifested. Schizophrenia often takes on religious imagery in the mind of the person suffering from it but if you do not have devils the government or some other conspiracy easily steps in. The important thing is that something or someone is after them. 1

My point was that, although the Deseret News and Church News are owned by the LDS Church, they are run by professionals on a day to day basis. Much different from the way Soviet newspapers like Pravda were run. 1

More new ways to do the things we do right now and more new things to do as we develop our ability to do more and more and more... More of the same kinds of things we already do and have and some more new things to do which we haven't even thought about yet. More of everything. What we have right now is good but there is no need to settle for what we already have when we can have more both now and in the future, forever and ever.
