The Human Brain an Interface or More than?

So you are guessing spirit may be quarks or something that makes up quarks?

I'm thinking that spirit matter is even finer than that, otherwise we would have identified or theorized about it.

"Fineness" and "purity" are also a function of our perspective, or the sphere, place and angle from which we reckon, observe or comprehend it, and the intelligence, permission (keys) and purpose with which we do it.

I suspect the flawed fallen body is a limitation to the spirit in many ways but opens up new experiences  in ways spirits could not function. What matters is what the state of the spirit is when it leaves. Then we get a body fit for the spirit within. A damaged body or brain incorrectly represents the spirit within and probably does in general just for being in a fallen world where spirits do not really belong at all. Some spirits in flawed bodies will be surprisingly pure. Much of what we thought was important will probably die with the flesh too and hopefully in the next world we will find what we truly wanted and that the earthly simile is only a pale reflection.

In the pure fusion of resurrection with no death the body and spirit will be one instead of competitors as they often are now.

Just my suspicions anyway.

I don't see smaller as making much sense since bodies are combinations of the small into larger material already and spiritual bodies would likely operate on the same process.  So I think it more likely spirit matter is a different form of matter, perhaps occupying different dimensions.

Perhaps, but as with spirit and physical matter, spirit and physical dimensions are connected and operate together. Who knows how our physical actions affect the spirit world (I suspect it may go beyond proxy temple ordinances).

The finest particles (whether particles or dimensions) can still create havoc (or order) with the largest ones. Leaven, the tongue (James 3:5), small means (1 Nephi 16:29), etc.

I've actually come around to the idea of interface in my old age. But I have the feeling that our mortal brain is a limiting interface, i.e. one that helps keep us within the veil. Our immortal brain, however, will be the opposite. It will be our interface to the infinite.

Yes, but I think it is limited. But I would say rather than limiting, it is the fallen, mortal condition and the associated teestial laws that are limiting, not the organ itself. For example, once we begin living higher laws, our mortal brains and bodies seem to function better (e.g. the promises and blessings of the Word of Wisdom).

I don't disagree, but even if we live all the highest laws in mortality, we'll still be limited, just at a higher level; I'm just saying that our fallen condition is part and parcel with standing on this side of the veil -- but when we get our resurrected brain, we will no longer be limited by it, because it will be celestialized.

I think you mean limited at a lower level... 😃!
