I think that is just a click bait headline, because we really don't "ignore" the Pearl of Great Price.  It might seem like we do, since we don't devote a year to studying it alone like we do with the Old and New Testaments, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants.  But there's a part of the Pearl of Great Price that applies to and is studied in three of the four years of those standard work studies.  The books of Moses and Abraham are studied with the Old Testament.  Joseph Smith's Matthew 24 is studied with the New Testament.  And of course the Joseph Smith history is studied with the Doctrine and Covenants and church history year.  It is good that we become more aware that we are already doing that, and pay attention to what we get from those studies.

In my stake, we have a single adult study group, meeting once a month.  We have just spent the last 3 years studying the Pearl of Great Price!
