No, I was pointing out that Jesus was commanded to restrict himself as to who he taught in mortality. So it is a bit silly to claim that Jesus obviously disapproves of something when he practiced it himself.

An odd interpretation of scripture, I see a very different perspective of what Jesus was attempting to do and it crossed culture, gender, racial boundaries.  I guess it’s true that people can read whatever prejudices they have onto the scriptures.  I prefer to think that God is no respecter of persons.

Then how do you explain that particular incident?

In the historical context, it makes a lot more sense if one sees Jesus as not establishing a new faith, but promoting Judaism among Jews.

I’m well aware that this rubs against the writings of Paul, and the rest of Christianity’s theology. But, historically, this paradigm explains a lot.

Try the Community of Christ temple. I hope we never follow that example.

It's an interesting building; like Frank Lloyd Wright meets Dr. Seuss.

I do like the spinning structure! I think it looks awesome, even if it is essentially just a large conference center.

When I was studying in America, I had a close mate who hailed from Missouri. He said he and a fair few people he knew called it the Jesus Slide.
