You can challenge things that aren't right (hopefully after lovingly suggesting things that are). You can choose to call the EQP and tell him that you will support him, and his statements make him think that he has seriously misunderstood the "High Priests" and may need to do some personal work so he can exemplify ministering to them. You can choose to pray for him and his counselors and for that matter all your brethren who are trying to figure out what this means. You can withhold judgment as this change I suspect is less about quorums and more about individual discipleship such that the real changes must come from how people see their roles in their families, their neighborhoods, and their communities, as must as their interdependence on others also seeking to become like Zion. And once they do, leadership screwups will have less power to negatively affect anyone. 2
LoudmouthMormon Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Ministering is different from HT/VT in at least the following ways: * Husband/wife teams no longer a sign that you're a struggling branch/ward. * Daughter Mia Maid/Laurels can now do it! They can go with mom, or dad! Somewhere out there is a family comprised of a dad and daughters - now we can minister to them more effectively. * Prediction: New guidelines about visiting single sisters/widows in 3... 2... 1... 2

I never suggested otherwise, so unsure the point you are making. Also using my post to respond too, suggests that I am not in favor of the most precious teaching of Jesus Christ. So could you put this in context so that others do not believe I am opposed to such ministry?
Marginal Gains Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I find this whole “ministering” thing increasingly odd the more I think about it. Would “ministering” by Mormons not happen if there weren’t a centrally designated programme?
