I remember a younger member, maybe 25, in my ward that would bring her Diet Coke and drink it in RS. I was like...hum. But kind of liked that she was so confident about it, I would have had to conceal mine (diet dr. pepper), lol. And I remember a TBM, temple recommend holder older lady, who I visit taught, ask me once if I could smell her coffee breath. She was a former Catholic and it may well have been decaffeinated and maybe she got the okay by her bishop, dunno.

I make my stuff from scratch, love German potato salad and red cabbage. The beef dish I marinate for about 4 days than cook in the crock pot all day

And then my dad who drank coffee for as long as I remember that had a heart attack and died. It may have been his sweet tooth, and buying day-old baked goods at the grocery store though. But thinking I might need to try some, especially since it has shown to help stave off Alzheimer's, something that I'm pretty sure I'll get seeing how my cousin got it at 60 and my mother showed signs around that age also.
Calm Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Tac, this may have the info the chemist said: https://www.healthambition.com/negative-effects-of-coffee/
Calm Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Also you may want to be careful, this genetic mutation in caffeine metabolism is apparently quite common (up to 50% of the population in some areas): https://www.geneplanet.com/genetic-analysis/list-of-analyses/caffeine-metabolism.html (this probably explains why caffeine takes twice as long as it is usually described to stop keeping me awake)

In their reporting the other day, it was more cups of coffee for the right benefit, not less. It's almost criminal because I think after the news came out with how good coffee was the other day, people now think they need to drink even more.
Ashley Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 You wouldn't get dirty looks but if you don't drink coffee, tea and alcohol you will be healthier and may live longer.

I dunno, Japan sure drinks a lot of tea and the germans as much coffee as the americans do and they're quite a bit healthier. I tend to go with science, pft who am I kidding I always go with science.
