probablyHagoth7 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Did anyone here attend FIRM's expo earlier this month? If so, thoughts?
Calm Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Ardis Parshall did a couple of reports on it. I will get the links later if needed. She wasn't impressed.

RevTestament Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I like Rod. I believe him to be a fine person, but I think of him as kind of a one-pony show. He's kind of been stuck on the same theory for more than a decade, and dug in his heels, rather than growing. In fact he seems to be regressing now with his anti-establishment science kind of stuff. DId Wayne May make an appearance? I find him the more interesting of the two, although I disagree with many of his conclusions.

Facebook drives me insane right now, it feels so cluttered and so hard to find conversations when I look for them. Maybe when life slows down... I know a lot of people on it so I think if I could like a Facebook group that would be it. Edited April 25, 2017 by Calm

Sounds like Meldrum is using the rhetorical tactics of MLM schemes and the worst forms of indoctrinating ideologies (i.e. Cults in the derogatory sense) and is as dishonest as any of them. I have a hard time believing he could slip into this entirely innocently.

As shown in Robert Smith's link, Ardis Parshall (the proprietor of Keepapitchinin) tried to cover the event, but gave up. It was a valiant effort... Quote Can’t do it, folks. Even as a joke, even with the semi-serious intent to observe, this conference is so dreadful, so wacko, so beyond-fringe, and above all so badly organized from a physical point of view, that I’m headed home. Sorry. It was an expensive lesson for me, what with the three-days registration and the train fare, but I don’t have the patience or the objectivity to stick it out. http://www.keepapitchinin.org/2017/04/06/firm-foundation-surrender/ Here's the entire saga in blog form. Apparently there was a session on "What the Scriptures say about Donald Trump." How FIRM is their foundation? Other then being hell-bound due to the sins enumerated as worthy of hell the scriptures do not seem to think he is important enough to mention him. Someone should point this out to him. I could use a laugh as he reiterates his lies about God changing the weather at his inauguration as a sign of divine favor. 1
